When the north enters the cold winter, I found summer in Thailand. Off the coast of Phuket lies an island as quiet as a dream—The Naka Island. Here, there's only one hotel, one sea, one breeze, and time becomes soft.

A Pure Holiday of One Island, One Hotel
There's only one hotel on the island—The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa. The feeling of "one island, one hotel" is truly magical. As soon as you step onto the island, there are no noisy tourists, no worries about being disturbed—only the sound of wind, waves, and distant bird calls.

From Phuket Airport, it's about a twenty-minute drive to the pier, then a five-minute speedboat ride. That journey is particularly healing—the wind blowing on your face, the distant mountains and sea gradually approaching, and your mood lightening along with it.
Living in a Tropical Dream
The hotel has 67 villas with private pools and 23 comfortable rooms. Those tropical villas with private pools feature thatched roofs, wooden decorations, and are surrounded by greenery. Open the door and you can see the sea. During the day, you can soak in the water and watch the sky; at night, you can sleep listening to the sound of waves. The pace of those days was particularly slow—waking up to sunlight in the morning, spending afternoons daydreaming by the pool, watching the sea, watching the clouds, doing nothing.

The evenings here are beautiful, with the sky's colors changing from orange to pink, then to deep blue. That transition from daylight to starlight is quiet and romantic.
Pleasant Dining Moments on the Island
There are four restaurants and bars on the island, each with its own style.
I really love TONSAI Restaurant, where you can eat authentic Thai food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Tom Yum soup is sour and spicy to whet your appetite, and mango sticky rice is perfectly sweet.
If you want to dine with a sea view, go to RUM CHAPEL Beach Restaurant, with Caribbean + Latin American style dishes that really stimulate your appetite.

MY GRILL is more suitable for dinner time—the steak and seafood are incredibly fresh. Watching the sunset slowly sink into the horizon fills the atmosphere with romance.
In the evening, why not sit at Z BAR for a while, order a cocktail, listen to the sound of waves, and watch the stars twinkle. That kind of peace and freedom makes you reluctant to leave.
A Romantic Holiday to Relax Body and Mind
The spa center The Spa Naka is also famous here, with light aromatherapy scents and particularly delicate massage techniques. When you come out after the treatment, you feel completely emptied.

If you don't want to be too quiet, there are many ways to get active. The island has outdoor pools, a gym, yoga classes, and tai chi classes. I tried yoga in the morning, stretching facing the sea—it was really comfortable.
More Than Just "Lying Flat"
Many people come to Naka Island just to lie flat, but actually, you can have a very rich experience here. You can go snorkeling to see corals and small fish swimming around your feet; you can also kayak around the island, with sunlight sparkling on the water surface; for those who like challenges, there are surfing lessons and Muay Thai classes. You can also join the hotel's "Naka Cultural Tour" to visit the village and watch them make handicrafts and extract coconut oil—that kind of living atmosphere feels particularly authentic.

If Phuket is a lively vacation paradise, then Naka Island is that "dream scene of seclusion." Here, you have the peace and romance of an entire island, letting the sunlight, sea breeze, and blue waters help reset the rhythm of your life.
